Dallas International Motor Speedway

Here are some old photos I found that were taken in the summer of 1970. A friend and I were typical 19 year old "gearheads", so, we took a road trip from Arkansas to Dallas when we heard the Coca Cola Cavalcade of Funny Cars was making a tour stop there. Got us a room at the Holiday Inn near the track. What luck! So did most of the racers! The parking lot was full of drag cars. Better than a pit pass. Below is a sample of the photos on the next page.
