I began the search for an el Camino in the usual ways. Watching the newspaper ads, etc. But the internet helped me find this one. I called the owner to discuss some details and a trip from Northwest Arkansas to Tulsa was scheduled. He was very truthful about the truck's condition and the deal was done in short order. I have to admit I was a little apprehensive about the two hour drive home after sunset, but the elky made it great. Of course, having my wife driving along behind me gave a little peace of mind, too.

Below are thumbnails of the pictures I took the next day in February of 2001. You can click any of these to see the full size photos. As you can see, some minor body work had been done and some "rattle can" primer applied, but the condition was not really all that bad for a 32 year old car.
